Is there anyone here with ad agency experience who can answer some questions for me?
I am wondering if someone can explain from the ground up how an ad agency works, how an account is acquired and handled, and essentially, who does what. Who produces the actual idea that’s pitched to a client? Do the copywriters and art directors just produce what they’re told, and if so, who tells them? When does the media planning department come in and who brings them in?
It’s a very broad question requiring a long answer. I appreciate it in advance.
